Developing Competitive E-Newsletter Content

Hi Michael:
Do you have any suggestions for gathering content? I like to write, but I know I'll need to include the work of others since I dont have the time to research and write full time. I've seen sites like freesticky.com but find that the subjects I need are not there.

Thank you in advance,
Paul Schuster

Hi Paul:

Thanks for your email. I feel your pain (!) but I would encourage you to use original content. It's fine if you need to hire an editor, but if you simply repurpose the content of others, it begs the question of why I would want to read it in the first place.

The competition is tough for the attention of readers, and unless you offer content that is useful, interesting, authentic and not found elsewhere, you will be lost in the weeds among all your competition.

I wrote on this topic recently, so take a look here for more on the subject: http://webpronews.com/wpn-5-20030424Original-Content-The-Benefits-Of-Writing-It-Yourself.html

Thanks, and all the best,

Michael
